| What
is the Cruise Route? Do you go out in the ocean? Your cruise route will take you around San Diego Bay. Your Captain will determine the exact route based on tide and weather conditions. To ensure a smooth and comfortable ride, FANTASEA will not go out into the open ocean. |
| Is
the yacht safe? For your comfort and safety, FANTASEA is U.S. Coast Guard Certified and meets all federal regulatory and safety requirements. FANTASEA is staffed by a qualified, licensed captain teamed with a well-trained and experienced crew. |
| What
do we do if we have late-arriving guests? FANTASEA will not leave the dock if you wish to wait for late arriving guests. However, regardless of when the yacht departs, she will return at the regularly scheduled time unless you decide to purchase additional cruising time (This can be arranged with the Captain on board). |
| Can
we have the yacht pick us up at a different marina? FANTASEA encourages boarding at Marina Cortez and includes the boarding fee in your basic charter rate. If you wish to board from another location, boarding arrangements must be made in advance, and a $200.00 delivery fee will apply. The marina may also charge a boarding fee, which will be added to your invoice. |
| Can
I bring my own food and beverages? We recommend the following caterer for your charter: BUCKBOARD CATERING COMPANY. They are familiar with the yacht, and provide excellent service. We do allow caterers other than BUCKBOARD, but will charge an outside catering fee of $150.00. Please ask for a copy of our catering policy to forward to your caterer! |
| What
cruise length do you recommend? Our typical charter is 3 hours. The minimum time needed to enjoy your event and meal service. If you wish to include time for dancing, we recommend a 4-hour charter. Our staff can help you determine the appropriate length of time for your needs. (Note there is a 4-hour minimum on holidays and Parade of Light events). |
| How
soon should I book with you? We strongly recommend booking the yacht for your event date as early as possible. Your deposit and signed contract will confirm your charter. Final payment will be due approximately 2 weeks prior to your event. |
